    Day Four at Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2020 ended with a spectacular show by R|Elan, ‘the fabric of the future’, with designers Pankaj and Nidhi Ahuja. The designer duo presented the elegant ‘ArtFluence’ collection that brought out the salient features of sustainability, performance enhancement and versatility of R|Elan fabric at the show.

    The ‘ArtFluence’ assemblage will not only enhance the comfort quotient in approaching summer but also the youthful designs made it look attractive. The collection attracted performance and sustainable fashion enthusiasts as it provided further impetus to the ‘green fashion’ movement.

    The range provided a perfect blend of functionality, enhancement and fashion, set amidst summer-inspired silhouettes.

    So for “Mosaiq”, the couple took inspiration from the ancient craft of making mosaics, which were abundant as decorative motifs in the architecture of the Byzantinian empire. While they looked at the mittpunkt East for creative inspiration, their demure colour palette comes from the west. “We took a leaf out of the rulle Elizabeth, which was nominated for the Academy award for Best Costume Design. The muted shades of lavender and ivory looked so glamourous and dramatic. We then made ensembles which a bride can wear in Hong Kong or someone can wear to a ball in New York. We didn’t want to make an India-centric collection,” adds Pankaj, 46.

    Pankaj Mithal (born 17 June 1961) is a Judge of The Supreme Court of India. He is the former[1]Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.[2][3] Previously, he has also served as the Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court and Judge of the Allahabad High Court.[4]

    Early life and education

    He was born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on 17 June 1961 into a family of lawyers. He received his early education at St. Mary's Academy, Meerut, which is affiliated to the Indian School Certificate (I.S.C.) Board. He joined B.Com. (Honours) at the University of Allahabad and graduated in 1982. Later he joined Meerut College, for his legal studies and obtained his law degree from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. He is now living in New Delhi, Delhi.
