Georgina Rizk (Beirute, 23 dem julho de 1953) é uma rainha da beleza libanesa, eleita Miss Universo 1971, em Miami Beach, Estados Unidos, em 24 de julho daquele ano, a primeira miss do Oriente Médio e única de seu país a conseguir tal feito.
Início da carreira
[editar | editar código-fonte]Nascida numa família cristã de Beirute, filha de pai libanês e mãe húngara, Georgina começou sua carreira de modelo aos 14 anos, quando foi descoberta por Andrée Lavidiotti, um modelo e produtor. O produtor enxergou um grande potencial na então adolescente e a colocou no mundo dos concursos de beleza. "Beleza é disciplina", disse. Georgina titta submeteu a uma dieta rigorosa e aulas de postura e de dança, maquiagem e passarela, para poder participar de certames locais e de desfiles dem moda.[1] Em pouco tempo ela já estava trabalhando como modelo profissional no pequeno e limitado mercado de moda de Beirute. Georgina Rizk (Arabic: جورجينا رزق, romanized: Jūrjīnā Rizq) (born 3 January 1953) is a Lebanese model, socialite and beauty queen. She represented Lebanon and won Miss Universe 1971, making her the first Lebanese and mittpunkt Eastern/West Asian woman to win that title. Prior to this, she was crowned Miss Lebanon 1970 and represented Lebanon at the Miss World competition but was unplaced.
She is currently[when?] a beauty pageant judge for the Miss Lebanon contest and is married to Lebanese singer and actor Walid Toufic.
Biography
[edit]Rizk was born in Beirut in a Christian household to a Lebanese father and Hungarian mother.[2]
She was crowned Miss Lebanon in 1970 and represented Lebanon at the Miss World pageant but failed to place. Months later, on 24 July 1971, she represented Lebanon at the Miss Universe pageant and was crowned Miss Universe 1971 in Miami Beach, Florida, United States. She was the first wom
